Some gameplay from one of the greatest rpg games ever conceived, Dark Sun: Shattered Lands. Gone are the glorious RPG days, where I spent time deep into the night slaying monsters and feeling like a hero :(.
I’m using Taewoong’s DosBox SVN.
Check out me best friends McAkomx’s gameplay videos:

Two epic rpg games from the 1990s
Spent so long long playing these games back then.
Wish I still had them. Or that they would relaunch them with exactly the same game play just updated graphics

June 27, 2020Ya'll think I'd enjoy this if I like Fallout 1/2 and Infinity engine games?

June 27, 2020Great setting. ArmageddonMUD is the closest contemporary imo to Dark Sun. That shit gets brutal if you can get into MUDs.

June 27, 2020I loved this video, thanks very much for sharing.

June 27, 2020Bigger is always better. Run your party like the WWE. Settle for nothing less than four half giants with max STR and CON. Shake the barren earth of Athas.

June 27, 2020Is there a hotkey for talking?
Final Bag

June 27, 2020I never got to play the full game sadly (spoiler alert).I didn't have the pamphlet and no real place elsewhere to find out the answers to get past the dragon so I had to try to guess or die to the dragon. A fun self-test is to refuse the first fights ending repeatedly, you get to see these big, grey, tentacle monsters and such lol

June 27, 2020Video would be better if you slowed down a tad…

June 27, 2020Wow this is probably the first ever RPG that I finished. Don't ask me how, it was hard as f@#$ but somehow I was able to do it though it took me a couple of years back then with school and everything.
Also not sure was the use of the dies since you could just keep rolling til you get a 6.

June 27, 2020I remember playing this countless hours as a young kid…..boy was I bad at it but something about it made me keep playing and playing

June 27, 2020Do you mean that you don't find it as fun nowadays to play games, or that the games of today are not as good as they used to be?

June 27, 2020Great game, the secret is to get the sword els drinker and duplicate it using the method which i forget (wish?). The beauty of the game was the complexity – so many spells, so many psionic abilities.
This game to me was my first major foray into the kind of top down perspective that would later spawn the Baldur's Gate series, it's a great format and i wish more games were made using it (instead of the industry being choked with action FPS games).

June 27, 2020I remember getting all the way to the final battle, but my computer crashed due to the sheer number of enemies in the horde. Never finished it and this game ended up on my pile of shame.

June 27, 2020I remember how hard this game was as a little kid 🙂 lol

June 27, 2020Too bad, we don't have any darksun game, other than Wesnoth's Under the Burning Suns.

June 27, 2020No doubt! I decided to look this up after god knows how many years for some reason today. I found this and it definitely brought back some good memories. I can't believe it's been almost 20 years since this came about! Thanks Mamboi!
