Topple is a game of steady hands and strategy where players try not to make the pieces on the wobbly Topple board fall. The object is to strategically place your pieces to score a certain number of points, to be determined by all players before you start playing. Players take turns rolling the die to determine where they place their colored pieces, one at a time, on the Topple board. For example, if you roll a two, you may place a piece on any of the four areas on level two. You score three points if you play a piece that completes a row of five plus one point for each piece of your color that tops each other stack in that row. You score one point for each piece of your color when you add a piece to a stack of three or more pieces. If you add a piece to an already completed row of five, you score one point for each piece of your color that tops each stack in that row.
If you cause one or more pieces to fall off a stack or off the Topple board, you lose 10 points and the round ends. The player who played before you gets three bonus points.
A round can also end when all the playing pieces have been played. After a round ends, remove all the pieces and start a new round. Once a player reaches the agreed upon number of points, continue playing until all the pieces have been played or a Topple occurs. If more than one player reaches the required number of points at that time, the player with the highest total points wins.
The game comes with 48 playing pieces (12 each of four colors), a Topple tower with game base and game stem, and a die. It’s for two to four players.
